Lets go full circle. Subjective to objective and back again.
Over all aim and mission.

To start from the very basics and quickly learn some of the amazing techniques and tricks artists have used for centuries. This program aims to allow beginners and artists to move into a new world of expression and composition. We will find what works for you to best express ones self through drawing and painting.

We will also look at colour fundamentals, this would be benefitial for everyone, not just artists and designers, but people in the fields of web design, fashion, cosmetics, interior designers, decorators, learning to decorate your home or office, how one dresses, colour affects everyone and everything.

The program has been tried and tested in a way that it wont matter if you miss a class, all will be revealed in the end.
It doesnt matter what it looks like , what matters i show we get there.

Week 1. Getting to know the tools of the trade.
Getting back to basics. Getting to know the mediums of basic drawing and painting, to get a feel for the paints and other materials. we will look at some very fundamental ideas behind colours, and attempt to answer questions like, why do we still love the paintings of the Impressionist artists.

Week 2.What is an artwork, what goes into making a strong piece.
Lets find out by looking at ways to use colour, how to compose a composition and getting to know the language behind creativity. Sometimes less is more, a piano sounds better if you play less notes.
Week 3. We will create our first painting based on some of the principles of the impressionist painters, a focus on landscape and complimentary colour theories..

Week 4. Applying the finishing touches to our landscape masterpieces. Putting the finishing touches on a painting can often také more time than the process of getting the picture started.

Week 5. The Human Body
Drawing the figure and the face. This is fun, starting with some 30 second sketches, stick figure like to a longer form, 30 minute exposey of the calming nature of the body.

Week 6.Realism.
Making things look like things. We will focus on some of the techniques artists have used to make a painting look like the subject being looked at. Its all in the shades and shadows.

Week 7. What is it with Picasso.
Lets také a look at what he did for the whole world by investigating the abstract space of Cubism. This will really expand our perceptions of the world around us and shatter the rules of traditional perspective. If i wasnt already the teacher, i would come to this class for sure.

Week 8. Time to get messy.
Lets see what happens when we break a few rules and have some fun with the colours and stylings, lots of expession and abstraction, maybe well find some purpose in the chaos.

Week 9. Plein Air
Depending on the weather, we will find a lovely quiet place in the city and start drawing and painting what we see. What are the buildings doing, what makes them so magestic.

Week 10.Take a step back
By now we will have discovered what works best for you, stylitically, conceptually and expression wise. Painting and drawing , coffee and wine. Congratulations, lets make a small exhibition.🤗🤗🤗
